Cross country skiing is a lifetime sport for everyone and with NH's snowy winters, a perfect activity to include in a school's physical education program.  Sue Wemyss will discuss the programming that she and her employer, Great Glen Trails, offer to the local elementary and middle school children, including one in which the K-2nd graders ski at their own school playground.  Learning the movements and acquiring the balance for the sport can begin on "dry" land, and Sue will lead attendees in some of these exercises.  Cross country skiing is, above all, fun for kids, and with the simple ingredients of some very affordable equipment and snow, a positive, lifelong enjoyment for this activity is simply launched. This presentation includes hands-on participation; attendees will learn and perform indoor activities that help develop the skills kids need to succeed on the trails.
